April 12/18 · 16 stars for the Humboldt family and seven stars for our Wildcats family, all gone too soon, never forgotten. CT: Where have you put the stars for First Nations kids who died in residential schools? You’ll need a lot more space. It happened for over a century because no one gave a shit. me: Trust me, there's a lot of people on my mind right now who have perished due to terrorism, war, illness, hatred, misunderstanding, accidents, suicide, etc. It's a hard day. I don't know if you're aware of those who risked their lives to rescue from residential schools, but they did care. But today is jersey day. Today is about Humboldt. KH: Agreed. One tragedy does not lessen another. If you know Donna, you would know she has a heart of love for all people, in particular children - and that includes the Native children that were indescribably abused, tortured and murdered. Showing respect for one does not mean you disrespect any others. 💚💛 Love you Donna!
February 25, 2016 · can't tell you how many kids try to give me hugs! most surprising one got me twice in one day! right now, the funnest trend is a JK who's been calling me "Lovey Dovey" and "Sweetie Pie". His mom has been telling him that he has to call me by my real name. I was a little disappointed this morning when he got on and said "Good Morning, Donna" I guess that party's over. I get it, the need for personal boundaries, especially when working with children - it's just kind of sad that this world has reached a point where it's become necessary. High fives for everyone - will have to do.
beyond work, oh, those hugs when there are no words... happy moments, sad moments... so thankful for hugs that can fill in the gaps....
KH: You Could tell him your whole name, eh? Donna Lovey Dovey Sweetie Pie Kovacs.
