Beeswax cappings waiting to be melted down into jar and canned candles! I have three melting over candle heat, now. I don't want to use extra hydro just to save hydro. I use my candle furnaces when there's need for light and warmth, so these cooler, early mornings are perfect! If I have any cappings left by Winter, I'll have a really fun and useful hobby! Yes, I do enjoy making candles that much! I've made some to sell, over the years, but I use them too much myself for any to last.
March 15/18 · One of the many things that I want to get done this week is to finally deal with this wax from um, I hope it's just from last year! This is almost the last of it, sitting in a crock pot. The bottom half of the crock pot is full of wax that's already been melted down. I just simply put the crock in the oven while other things are cooking/baking/roasting. I'll start filtering the wax soon, too. Just finding ways to keep our products cost effective. Or at least trying! 😁
