What does it take to send a young man to Africa to share his faith? It takes love, support, encouragement, and our own steps of faith. One song that "really speaks to" Wesley, after all the hardships we've been through and while he journeys with others who struggle:... For King & Country, "God Only Knows". Thanks, Wes, for sharing what's important!
Duncan Smith created an amazing video of their journey, you'll want to check it out!
This is Duncan's second video of this trip, Uganda Chapter Two.
7/28/18: We're all back in Canada!!!
KB: Put him to work extracting honey.....enough of this galavanting around the world! 😂 ;) Welcome back Wesley!!!!
me: And now, we are home!!!!! Wesley is already back in his own bed!!! I'll be crashing in mine soon, too!!!
me: I was hoping he'd move his suitcase from in front of the dishwasher, but he's sound asleep!!! 💖😴
JB: Jet lagged for sure. Welcome home, Wesley.
me: Jet lag and only five hours sleep in the last two days! It's a good thing he's young and has at least a week to recover! (*_*)
7/29/18, me: I managed to get eight hours' sleep, only waking up three times and going right back to sleep! That's a big deal for me! Joe and Wes are still sound asleep! There will be no wake up call or alarm today! 💖😴
7/27/18: They're back in the USA!!!😁
We should get some sleep before we go get him! Not like last year! Though he is home slightly earlier than I expected!
7/26/18: Wesley texted me!!! They're at the airport!!! Long trip ahead!
RS: Do they fly into Istanbul or England? Our Isaac and Erica flew into both airports on their way home from Uganda at different times.
me: I think Ethiopia again, as on the way there
RS: That is different. My kids flew different airlines so their mid point was different. They did love the Istanbul stop over because they missed their flight and got to stay in the city overnight.
me: They flew from Newark airport, so that could be part of the difference.
AG: Prayers are being sent for safe travel for his group

Funds Raised So Far, Approximately: 100%! Thank you!
Saving this info for future missions trips, though hoping to do things a little differently from now on:
If you don't require receipts, or if you are American and can use American receipts, the American donation site seems to have the fastest updates, with not even a full two business days' turnaround! This counts from the moment that the donation is made to when it is added to and shown on his account. Also, please note that this will be processed in US$. If using a Canadian credit card, don't forget to allow for exchange rate difference and any processing or service fees.
We find that it takes a bit of time for donation updates to come through - up to a month or more! I have learned that funds are processed at the end of the calendar month and then applied to the appropriate account, usually within two weeks. We appreciate your gifts, your prayers, your encouragement, and your patience! Thank you and blessings!!! :D
