Memories of days gone by: Before the big yellow limo, there was this. I'm so thankful to be home in my own bed every night. Still grateful for the opportunity, the amazing journey that came with it, and the friendships made.
July 21/18: Thursday night, I was driving through the field from one set of bunk houses to another and a guy got all excited about seeing a burro! I had to assume he had seen a deer so I got a pic of one on my phone. Sure enough, that's what he saw and was surprised that we have lots of them. More fresh deer tracks this morning on the driveway! We do have lots and I never get tired of seeing them!

8/29/16: "I come from a town where a traffic jam is 4 cars behind a tractor"... I almost spit up my drink! LOL oh, the truth! and for good measure, throw in some farm buses, too! I got awfully close to having "cerveza por todos" when a beer truck was passing some farm equipment and didn't leave room for getting back into the proper lane, heading straight for my radiator! Hooray for good brakes and watchful eyes!!!!!
8/29/18: I find equipment is getting bigger and bigger all the time. There's lots of farm equipment that I cannot pass in a bus; we're both just too big. Talk about traffic jam! Thankfully, this is usually on the quietest roads, not during rush hour.

Aug. 28/16: the joys of being a bus driver... yes, I love being a paid tourist, though I've promised before that i don't do it for the money. so, tonight, I get to drive as a volunteer and am so pumped about that, too! Caribbean night at Triple C and since I'm going, my Mom and 93yo Grandma will be going, too! <3 (no, they're not going on the bus, they're going down, separately)
July 21, 2016 · my job has some interesting fringe benefits - including some really good, free entertainment. as I was driving to the bunk house, a little fox decided to leave his post on the side of the road, thankfully away from my tires. then, as I was coming home in my van, I had to stop. there were a half dozen baby skunks, crossing the road with their momma. some had to stop and check out a dark spot on the road and they were all just sort of waddling around each other. a raccoon came out in a bit of a frenzy, amongst the skunk family, as if to say, "come on, you guys, you can't play in the middle of the road like that", then it went back to where it came from and the skunks followed. had me snickering the rest of the way home! so many other blessings on farm night, too. too many to count - every week! <3 I find myself wondering about other jobs and wondering why I would ever consider any thing else. soon I'll be back to school run and --- cookies! LOL :D

October 23, 2015 at 7:34am · Tuesday night bus run, first request, "Let's go for Me-he-co, Donna". Ah, no puedo, lo siento, no passport. Sure conjures up some possibilities, though! LOL :D
KJ: You don't Want to meet Patricia the hurricane! Seriously!
me: good time to pray for my amigos - last night, some were sitting on the bus, chilled. I asked if they were done shopping. They're so fearful of banditos, they don't want to buy anything more. :( Sadly, hurricanes are far more kind, but certainly not ideal.
