1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome a it.
Did you see Season 2, episode 1? I love the little bits of insight that were revealed that might not be realized by the average viewer. I love how God laid it all out, before the dawn of time.
Word,
Λόγος (Logos)
Noun - Nominative Masculine Singular
Strong's Greek 3056: From lego; something said; by implication, a topic, also reasoning or motive; by extension, a computation; specially, the Divine Expression.
"Both logic and logistics ultimately derive from the Greek logos, meaning "reason." But while logic derives directly from Greek, logistics took a longer route, first passing into French as logistique, meaning "art of calculating," and then into English from there."
God is so much more than what we see with our human eyes and minds. We see the story of the Tower of Babel and we think, wow, what a jealous God! He does not deny being a Jealous God! We might think He's oppressive - throwing little tower-shattering temper tantrums. Let's just say this, first of all. If God can create a hurricane, a volcano, a tornado, a forest fire, and the entire universe, um, I would be terrified of His temper, which in controlled amounts is known as His wrath. I love God and I know He loves me, but I respect Him enough that I'm not going to start making Him angry any more than I might already have. And yes, I mess up; I'm just a human, too. Better yet, when my humanity fails me, I give it back to God and I thank Him for whatever He can make of the mess that I often am.
But back to the Tower of Babel. Yes, humanity made God angry. Yes, God um, set them straight by messing them up?! Actually, sometimes a little cup of humble tea is good for the soul - and for relationships. But even more amazing - and there's probably more amazement yet to be discovered - God, in an instant, created enough languages that NOBODY understood ANYBODY! Husbands and wives couldn't understand each other - and I'm not certain that has been fully restored! Parents and children couldn't understand each other - and I KNOW that has not fully been restored! Sure, we all speak the same language within a family, sometimes! Yes most of the time! But what about those times when we don't even know how to say what we're thinking or feeling? What about those times when we wish we could truly understand someone that we care about? And this isn't even new thinking for me.
The new thought of the day is that God may have created all the known and unknown languages of Heaven and Earth because no single language ever will be sufficient to describe His love or His glory. Oh, and there's a topic for another day - Glory, Doxa, Fame, and a certain pandemic. Maybe tomorrow. :) I don't want to get distracted! :D Today's key point: no single language might ever be sufficient to describe all the Goodness of God! Wait! No! ALL the languages of Heaven and Earth, both known and unknown, might never be enough to describe our Great God. The best that I can figure is that He is the I Am because He is all things Good and Just, which is a pretty long list. He's got it covered! And that God Who is a Jealous God - He's not a greedy God. They're not the same thing. He has all that is in the universe. He has no need for anything! But He loves us! He loves you and He loves me - so much that He doesn't want anyone or anything to come between us! He's jealous for you! You are the apple of His eye! He not only would die for you- He already has! And defeated death for you too!
I love the Chosen! But it did not blow my mind, as promised. God blows my mind! With His love and mercy! But He also quiets my mind with peace and salvation. <3 But I will keep watching the Chosen - it goes very nicely along with my Bible(s) and my soul. And it certainly seems to have the Blessings of God carrying it through! :)
