"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me." (NIV)
Can you imagine spending all of your time with the long-awaited Messiah only to be faced with Him leaving you, especially during such a time of fierce persecution? And the disciples really didn't understand what was truly happening. They wanted to. They tried. They loved Jesus so much that they did devote their lives to Him. Would we be so bold during such a difficult time? It's hard to know. Can we be so bold, now? Do you know who you are in Christ? Does the world know? They might not understand. They might want to. They might even try. We're not going to get it perfectly right, either. But we do need to keep up the good fight - keep drawing closer to God, keep seeking His will, keep loving and forgiving your "neighbour". Christ is victorious and He's willing to share His victory in our lives. "Do not let your hearts be troubled."
